Chris Kovalcik has been involved in the IT industry since 1986 and has received diplomas in Electronics Engineering and Computer Programming. He has developed software in several computer languages including Perl, PHP, Java, C, C++, C#, BASIC and more for many platforms, including Windows Computers, Unix based systems and Handheld PC's. He also provides IT solutions for both business and personal needs.

He worked closely with Coastfor Enterprises Inc. in writing the CruiseMate software and is also currently writing other software solutions for the forest industry.
